No Time to Paint
Charcoal on paper 18" x 24"
This was for the March 2018 Art Experience show in Venice, Florida. The subject was 'Hands'.
I grabbed a jar of my paint brushes and held them in front of a strong studio light, and moved around till lighting and subject took on a shimmering brilliance.
Then all it took was one single photo of my outstretched hand and the jar. I used the photo as reference, and decided the image would present with a dazzle if it was done in charcoal.

I deliberately left the watch face blank, representing 'no time'.
Hence, with jar of paint brushes all ready for action, the title No Time to Paint came to mind.
